20: Artist’s Brain - Brian James O’Connell - Improviser, Filmmaker, Teacher

Our Artist’s Brain interview series continues with the man, the myth, the legend - BOC. Brian James O’Connell is more than a staple in the world-wide improv community, he’s the ultimate ambassador for this art form we call home. BOC has directed several feature films, including Bloodsucking Bastards and Angry White Man, and he is one of the creators and stars of the animated series Hell Den on the Syfy channel. He’s an actor, writer, director, filmmaker, teacher, mentor, friend, and hella good improviser.

In this episode, we talk about how BOC would start an improv theatre, how improv saved his life, what he learned from directing three feature films, and his "Hot Takes" about what is missing in the improv community.
